New Executive Head Chef

Ian Buckle
Taking local produce to new levels

Ian Buckle has always worked at successful hotels and restaurants in the Midlands and most recently taken the executive head chef position at Ardencote Manor Hotel. With a distinct enthusiasm for his craft, his vision for the Ardencote's award winning Lodge restaurant involves sourcing the very best local ingredients.

Together with his able team, Ian aims to create dishes based on seasonal favourites which are fresh and exciting, whilst working towards achieving further AA rosettes.

A head chef since 1993, Ian also wants to increase the amount of local produce on the menu, and in the new year will be introducing a 'new and exciting to the taste' range of dishes.

With too many favourites to name, Ian particularly likes to cook with Game - which is high on his list for the festive period.

This top chef's reasons for accepting the position at Ardencote included the venues enviable reputation for quality and service, as well as its continuous investment in its staff.

"I am really looking forward to taking the Ardencote Manor to new levels, as well as preparing for the 2012 wedding season with our exciting outdoor Wedding Pavilion." says Ian.

The Lodge Restaurant provides the perfect setting for intimate meals, social dinners with friends and special occasion celebrations. On Summer evenings, diners can enjoy their award winning meals served al-fresco, whilst they look out over the beautiful lake and surrounding countryside. During cooler times, the interior of the restaurant, which has been recently renovated, provides diners with a friendly, informal ambience, which will leave a lasting impression.
